Knights Claw Back for Thrilling Wins; Climb to 2nd in League

The Knights are surging through the North Valley League, securing back-to-back victories this week to improve their record to 4-1. Now ranked second in the league, the team proved their resilience with a stunning comeback against Community Charter and a dominant showing against Lakeview Charter.

The Comeback of the Season Wednesday night’s matchup against the Community Charter Titans looked grim in the third quarter, with the Knights trailing 43-26. Refusing to back down, the Knights mounted a massive rally to erase the 17-point deficit. In a heart-stopping finish, senior Dameon Mendez sank the game-winning basket just as the buzzer sounded, sealing a 51-50 victory.

Defending Home Turf The momentum carried into Thursday as BCCHS defeated the Lakeview Charter Lions 44-32. This marks a season sweep of the Lions, following a similar 42-33 victory back in December.

Up Next: The Knights hope to continue their winning streak on January 28 at 4:00 PM when they take on Triumph Charter. It will be a tough game as Triumph Charter is leading the league with a 4-0 record.
