Our mission is to:
  • Prepare students for academic success in high school and post-secondary education.
  • Prepare students to be responsible and active participants in their community.
  • Enable students to become life-long learners.

Vision:
Bert Corona Charter High School equips urban students in grades 9-12 for academic success and active community participation.  The school is located in the Northeast San Fernando Valley.  The majority of students attending  our school come from predominantly Latino families where Spanish is often spoken at home.  Bert Corona Charter High School seeks to close the achievement gap for our students by providing clear and high expectations for all students, a personalized and supportive learning environment that recognizes students’ accomplishments, family-school-community partnerships and service, and integrated technology in the classroom.

Inspired by Bert Corona, students at Bert Corona Charter High School will become active citizens characterized by the ideals of a diverse and democratic society. Our students will provide service to their community, take responsibility for their own learning, and develop the habits of mind that will empower them to be successful in high school and beyond.
